Polaroid has recently announced that they are entering the flash based MP3 player market. Not only that, but it appears that the player is actually quite impressive. Grahm from Anythingbutipod.com reports that the yet to be released player will come in 512MB and 1GB variations and features voice recording, FM playback and recording, MP3/WMA support, MPEG/WMV support, 25-hour battery and a screen meauring 2.2″ - all pretty standard fare for the MP3 player market right now. However, it does feature some uniqueness.
But what sets this player apart is the navigation and GUI. The navigation is handled by a Blackberry-like jog dial and button on the right side of the player. The GUI is also very smooth and intuitive.
