For those of you who have run into the issue that some are running into with the new shuffles, having bent the clips while sitting down. This has happened to more than one person, some images can be found HERE. This issue has caused a lot of people to be unable to dock their band new shuffle, becuase the clip will not bend back, and the dock for the shuffle is the exact size of the shuffle, and with the clip being bent, it is unable to fit into the dock to charge or to transfer new music or delete music. This seems to be one of the first flaws that we have seen with the device but some have come up with a solution. One solution is going through manufacturing, which is something that consumers will have to wait for and is shown below. A simple dongle to convert the headphone jack to USB all in one little device, enabling the Shuffle to be plugged directly into a computer again!

The other option is for those of you who do not want to wait and it is CHEAP! If you have any experience using a soldering gun that is helpful for this tutorial. First think you will need is a Male A USB connector for the computer end, and a 4 pin 1/8′ headphone jack These seem to be pretty rare, you can’t find them at Radio Shack as of now. Now follow the color pattern below and complete the connections.

Be sure to solder all connections and make sure they are secure before plugging your Shuffle up to it. There is a potiential this could fry your 2G iPod Shuffle if the cables are connected wrong or are touching. Do this @ your own risk. Enjoy the cheap dock.
