How to control your iTunes from your toolbar
This is a really nifty tutorial on how to add itunes to your tool bar. This is very helpful, so you can still have the volume controls, menu, and Play/Pause, Foward, and Back buttons. Getting this function to work, is actually built into iTunes making it Super Easy. Another great tool that does the same thing in firefox browsers is FoxyTunes which can be found here. This is really cool, because not only does it put all iTunes functions in your firefox browser, but in Firefox, you are able to move the FoxyTunes where ever you want in the browser, on the bottom or on top near adress bar. Anyways, back to the Tutorial of how to add iTunes to your toolbar in windows.
Step 1
Open up iTunes then right click on the task bar at the bottom of the screen and select Toolbars > iTunes

Step 2
Click on the minimize window icon in the upper right corner of iTunes

Step 3
You can now control your iTunes without showing the iTunes window

Note: You may need to go to the iTunes preferences and uncheck the “Minimize iTunes windows to system tray” checkbox in order for this to function.

There you have it – fully functional iTunes controls right in your taskbar. Enjoy your extra productivity now that you don’t have to switch windows every time you want to change tracks.
