This week Creative finally started competing against the iPod Nano with the announcement of their two new players, the Zen V and Zen V Plus.  These tiny flash based players support a whole host of features and have some style as well.  Standard Creative features, FM tuning, Outlook synchronization,  OLED display, and PlaysForSure support, are included along with some new surprises.  The V will feature a rotating screen for your preferred viewing angle and a line-in encoding feature that will allow you to plug directly into your CD player and rip music without a computer.  They will also support a variety of video playback formats.  The V will come in 1 or 2GB capacities while the V Plus will sport 1, 2, or 4GB.  Look for the V next month and the V Plus by August.

Creative usually puts out quality products so these new players should definitely be interesting.  Personally, I can’t wait to try them out.
