iLuv.com is offering some really cool ipod add-on batteries in two different flavors for the ipod video. The first is the i603 which promises extending your playing time to 42 Hours. I can only assume this is for music, but that basically double the battery life which is not to shabby. The second flavor is the i604 which promises 55 hours of extended playtime. So you think ok this sounds cool and looks small, but how is this thing going to stay on my ipod. Well from the two pictures above it doesn’t show the whole picture. Below here you can notice that the battery is not just on the back but extends with the ipod on the back side of it.

So now you are thinking now I am going to have an ugly battery stinking out of my ipod. The answer is nope iLuv has designed a nifty silicon case, which completely covers your ipod and which the battery is attached to. So looking at this setup it totally r0x0rz! Another little added bonus is that the battery extends the dock connector so you can still dock it to your computer while the battery is attached or charge it from the wall with the wall charger that is shipped with the coolest battery pack for the iPod ever made, which also protects it! If you are sad because there is no add-on battery for the iPod Nano, no need to fear they actually have two flavors as well: i601 and i602
