Video of 6th Generation iPod
This video appears to demonstrate the functionality of the new Video iPod, rumored to be released next month. There is, of course, a chance that this is fake, but the video appears to function like the afore mentioned patent said it would. There certainly is alot of corroborating info about the next version of the iPod. Hopefully we will be seeing this product revealed April 1st - Apple could use the bounceback after their dissapointing announcement last week.

That wasn’t a forward and rewind function blockhead. it was volume, like all other ipods before it, and you notice when he touches the screen the bar at the top comes up, if it’s real, this guy loses his job.

April Fool’s also happens to be Apple’s 30th anniversary, and Steve Jobs has already hinted something will be announced.

The 6th generation ipod comming.Today I went to Target all their 60 gigs are gone(hint hint),but the 30 gigs are there so my guess is it will replace the 60 gig with higher storage,and a nicer screen and a 400-500 price range.It didnt come april 1st so it’ll be any day now!
Well it’s April 5th and almost April 6th and still clear sign that it’s going to be released… I wish Apple would just give a clear release date like most company’s do…

You guys are still speculating the release on the 6g ipod. Well it not going to happen in 2006. its been a pattern of replacing ipods. They replaced the mini with the nano, normal ipod with the video. and the shuffle is the only 1 left to replace. Besides the video ipod came out in late November i think and its april 18th now so thats 5 months now. apple only replaces or updates ipods every year or year in a half . So dont b looking foward to a widescreen so soon. Look forward to a next genaration ipod shuffle possible with a screen but i doubt it because that would get cought up into the nanos market.
If this is True - I heard a £400-500 price tag that will go along with It. Also agree with jonathan - Why would the new 6th gen come out now when they just released the 5th gen like 6 months ago!! As if this comes out everyone will want the 6th gen and not 5th gen.

Okay first of all, in that 3 second video, LOOK AT THE BACKGROUND. It shows a foot and a leg that appears to be doing.. the moon walk? Look carefully in the background. It seems that this video must have been reversed or edited? I’m almost positive this video is a fake, although, they wouldn’t have got the idea for a “Wide Screen/Touch Screen” from no where, so obviously the new iPod will contain something along the lines of that.
LOL, ok, i see the guy walking in the background but I don’t think he’s walking backward - just normal style. Otherthan that, all I can tell is that he is on some type of staircase (probably in the secret depths of Apple HQ, lol). If anything, I think these candid elements give the video more credibility. Why go through all the trouble to make a fake video and have the background be so goofy?

ok… you can obviously tell this video is fake because he cannot get that video into that iPod. because you need iTunes to sync that video into it. and i doubt the 6.04 version of iTunes will show the iPod on the source list. because when they announced the 5th gen iPod. Apple released a new version of iTunes the day the 5th gen was released so the iTunes would show the 5th gen on the source list. But the 6th gen is supossed to release but that video is fake. and Apple wont release the 6th gen iPod until they get movie companys to sign with them because Apple wants to sell movies on iTunes Music Store. so Apple will not release the 6th gen ipod until they have movies to sell on iTunes.

this video is fake. When u r in the middle of a song/video on an ipod and touch the clickwheel it adjusts the volume. And
when u control the volume on an ipod a volume bar comes up. A volume bar is not coming up. The bar at the top of the screen shows the video selection and battery life. But i think everyone knows this is still what the ipod is going to look like.

i agree. the functions on the click wheel don’t seem to be working. and what kind of idiot would think of a touch screen for this? the soft plastic apple uses for ipods is scratch prone. i’m not trying to start any online brawls or anything, but i’m just saying…

Yeah your obvioulsy a idiot learn to read he thinks hes cool by taking a pic of his black ipod video and using photo shop to add a pic of 24 on it. Any way back to my point in his explanation in why and how he “has it” he adds “I don’t care since the announcement is only days away.” yeah days away back on february 25th 2006…and here you are on July 5, 2006 saying its a the real pictures well it was 4 months and you didnt relize its been fake… now its about 10 months old so im confident to say thats not a really a 6th gen ipod. Everyone was saying sometihng about Feb 28th, then April 1st, then by the Holiday season, and still nothing. I dont think this will come for about another year.
well its not december 28th, i just picked up an 80 gig today at futureshop and saw no signs of any ipod changes coming for a while. im guessing theyll release a new one by april 2007, it just seems right. I think i like the idea of a full screen, however unless it has a built in camera, i really see no point in it. until then ill enjoy my 80 gig.
First of all is this thing gonna be like the PS3 which was crazy expensive and impossible to find and second how much more advanced can you go from here

I hope it (the 6G) comes out soon, I smoked the hard drive in my 20gig 4G. It is entirely possible that apple placed the video on purpose just so they can get free input from the people who are really into it and do some fine tuning after reading all our pro’s and cons.
