No Video iPod; iPod Hi-Fi Instead

The Apple rumors have been flying all week, but today all the good ones have been put to rest - for now. At today’s Jobs Keynote, a new Intel based Mac Mini was released along with this brand spanking new stereo system designed for the iPod.
Just slide your iPod into the built-in Universal Dock to turn on and tune in to digital music as you’ve never heard it before. From pumping bass to bright treble, iPod Hi-Fi delivers natural, room-filling sound. Close your eyes and you’d think you were listening to a huge stack of speakers. But iPod Hi-Fi measures just 17.0″ x 6.6″ x 6.9.”
The price for this bad boy is $349 and is available online today.

The other iPod related relase today is a leather iPod case for $99. Yeah, that does seem a little pricey doesn’t it? But it’s made by Apple, and if there is one thing they do right it’s making quality products.
Hand-crafted from fine Italian leather, the Leather Case offers luxurious protection for your iPod. It features a slim, form-fitting design, a soft microfiber interior, and an ingenious built-in ribbon for gently sliding your iPod out from inside the case.
No new word on the 6th generation iPod, but when it comes we’ll have it here.

A little sad hoping for the new iPod but the hifi looks really cool, but really expensive! Ohh even this is a blog about mp3 players and what not, an intel mac mini was released! w00t!

At the Steve Jobs Keynote, the iPod Hi-Fi, an iPod enabled boombox that almost no one has bought, was released instead of the much anticipated new iPod. This announcement proved to be a letdown for all Apple fans as there was neither a new iPod nor was any new info released. The world now waited for Apple’s 30th anniversary for any big announcements. Unfortunately, this happened to fall on April Fool’s day. […]
